OKX Exchange Launches Community Campaign
The global crypto community is invited to support earthquake relief efforts in Türkiye through various cryptocurrencies including USDT, BTC, ETH, and OKB/OKT with OKX matching contributions up to ₺1 million.
Recent Earthquake in Türkiye
On February 6, 2023 a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Türkiye near the border of northern Syria followed by a second 7.5 magnitude earthquake nine hours later with aftershocks resulting in loss of life and injuries.
Contributions Through Cryptocurrency
In collaboration with Paymount, a platform for secure and fast cryptocurrency payments, OKX will convert contributions to USDT which will then be converted to Lira by Paymount at 4pm GMT daily before being transferred to relief organizations AHBAP and AFAD at 4:30 pm providing necessary medical aid, food, water, shelter and reconstruction supplies. The campaign is open globally for all crypto holders.
